Die "Wirtshausprämie", die im schwarz-blauen Koalitionsprogramm der niederösterreichischen Landesregierung Anfang April 2023 verlautbart worden ist, findet bei der seit 2017 amtierenden Bundesministerin für Heimatschmutz und internationale Affären (Barbara Ungepflegt) und der Bundesvorsitzenden Frau in der Heimat (Elsbeth Wallnöfer) großen Anklang.
Im Regierungsprogramm steht unter dem Punkt "Tourismus und Gastronomie" wörtlich: „Unterstützung des Erhalts der nö. Wirtshauskultur. Voraussetzung ist, dass der Wirt ein traditionelles und regionales Speisenangebot ausweist.“ Konkret bedeutet das, dass das Schnitzel aus der Region gefördert wird, internationale Speisen wie Kebab, Pasta oder „Acht Schätze“ hingegen nicht.

Das Schnitzel muss in die Verfassung!
Barbara Ungepflegt und Elsbeth Wallnöfer verstehen sich als Botschafterinnen der Panier und nehmen die "Wirtshausprämie" zum Anlass, das Kulturgut Schnitzel in die Welt zu tragen. In festlicher Montur (ein „Niederösterreich-Janker“ von Gexi Tostmann und ein von Gertrud Pesendorfer entworfenes Dirndl) gekleidet, ehren die beiden das Schnitzel und halten es wie eine Monstranz. Schweigend.

The " tavern bonus" announced in the Lower Austrian government's black-blue (ÖVP-FPÖ) coalition programme at the beginning of April 2023 is very much appreciated by the Federal Minister for Homeland Dirt and International Affairs (Barbara Ungepflegt), who is in office since 2017, and the Federal Chairwoman Frau in der Heimat (Elsbeth Wallnöfer).

Schnitzel has to be part of the national constitution!
Barbara Ungepflegt and Elsbeth Wallnöfer see themselves as ambassadors of the breading and take the "Wirtshausprämie" as an opportunity to carry the heritage of Schnitzel into the world. Dressed in festive costume (a "Niederösterreich-Janker" by Gexi Tostmann and a dirndl designed by Gertrud Pesendorfer), the two are paying their tribute to the schnitzel, holding it like a monstrance.
